What Is It?
Advanced Laser Technology
Laser tattoo removal is the safest and most effective method for removing unwanted ink. Using high-powered laser pulses, the ink is broken down into tiny particles that your body naturally eliminates over time.
At Tattoo Mania Studio, we use the latest Q-switched and PicoSure laser technology, capable of targeting all ink colours including stubborn greens and yellows. Every treatment is tailored to your specific tattoo, skin type, and desired outcome.

How It Works
The Removal Process
A step-by-step guide to what happens from consultation to clear skin.
Consultation
We assess your tattoo — ink colours, depth, skin type, and age of the tattoo — to build a personalised treatment plan and give you a realistic timeline and cost estimate.
Skin Preparation
The area is cleaned and a cooling gel may be applied. Protective eyewear is provided for both the client and technician before treatment begins.
Laser Treatment
A high-powered Q-switched or PicoSure laser fires ultra-short pulses of light into the tattoo ink. The energy shatters the ink particles into tiny fragments without damaging the surrounding skin.
Immune System Clears the Ink
Over the following weeks your body's immune system naturally flushes away the fragmented ink particles through the lymphatic system. The tattoo fades progressively between sessions.
Repeat Sessions
Most tattoos require 6–12 sessions spaced 6–8 weeks apart for full removal. Colours, ink density, and skin tone all affect the number of sessions needed.
Aftercare & Healing
Keep the treated area clean, moisturised, and out of direct sunlight. Blistering and temporary redness are normal and will subside within a few days.

The long-term effects of laser tattoo removal can include permanent skin pigment changes, texturing differences, and incomplete fading.
Potential Long-Term Skin Changes
Hyperpigmentation: The treated skin becomes darker than the surrounding area, which can sometimes be permanent.
Hypopigmentation: The treated skin loses its pigment and becomes lighter than the surrounding area; this is more likely to be a permanent change.
Textural changes and scarring: Rare aggressive settings or poor healing can leave behind altered skin texture, scar tissue, or raised hypertrophic scars.
Ghosting or residual ink: Certain ink colors (like blues, greens, or yellows) may resist full clearance, leaving a faint outline or discolored residue behind.
Common Questions
Laser Removal FAQs
Everything you need to know before booking your consultation.
Does laser tattoo removal hurt?
Most clients describe the sensation as similar to a rubber band snapping against the skin. Numbing cream can be applied beforehand to significantly reduce discomfort.
How many sessions will I need?
The average is 6–12 sessions depending on ink colour, tattoo age, size, and skin type. Black and dark blue inks respond fastest; greens and yellows may take longer.
Will it completely disappear?
In most cases yes — professional tattoos can be fully removed. Some heavily saturated or multicolour tattoos may leave a faint ghost, but results are typically excellent.
How much does it cost?
Starts at €150 per session, per each 10cm of laser removal done. Other prices may vary by size and time. We offer a free consultation to give you a realistic session estimate and total cost before you commit.
Is it safe for all skin tones?
Modern lasers are safe for a wide range of skin tones. We assess your skin type at consultation and adjust the laser settings accordingly for the safest, most effective treatment.
Can I get a new tattoo over a removed one?
Yes — many clients use laser removal to fade an old tattoo before getting a cover-up or fresh design in the same area. This is a very popular option.
